Metalworker’s Pacifier

I was too cheap to buy a new chip collector, and I didn’t like the fact that I would need to use two hands to release the chips.

As I had some leftover neodymium magnets from an old project, I decided that I’ll spend my Saturday night to design one that would fit my needs. That’s when “The Pacifier” was born.

It’s not something you would use on large machinery, but it’s perfect for my drill, bandsaw and small lathe.

This build got very popular in Reddit and had 1.4 million views within the first 24 hours.

The final result in action.
It’s perfect for small metal chips.
I made different versions for my different machines.
Perfect fit for my magnetic drill (a.k.a Thor’s Hammer).
And also my vertical bandsaw.
