Carving Halloween pumpkins – with a laser!

My kids are still too young to handle a knife, so they can’t carve their own pumpkins. They first draw the design on the pumpkin before I carve it out. I always need remind them that the design doesn’t have to be perfect, and it might be that I can’t carve it out perfectly either.

This year I decided to make perfect designs with perfect carvings! I mean, I have a laser cutter after all…

I’m not 100% sure that the laser was meant to be used this way…
I also made one with the house address on it.
The kids were allowed to have a quick look when I was doing my version of the carving. I kept them at distance from the laser just in case as the setup was pretty “special”.
Looks pretty nice…
… but not as nice as the kids designs are!
