My Workshop

Over the last few years I’ve built a small workshop in my garage. I have been gathering older tools and machinery which will hopefully last for the rest of my time. It is difficult to find good quality machinery which is still small in size, but I’ve been lucky to find the things I’ve found this far. 

I made a very heavy duty welding table which holds most of the tools I’m using.
The table also functions as a leatherworking table.
For cutting I have a laser cutter and an old bandsaw with VFD.
I’ve tried to make sure that all workspaces and storage is always easily accessible.
Magnetic drill that I’m using as a drill press.
Home-made metal twister.
Metal lathe from the 1920’s.
Kemppi MIG welder.
Sheet metal brake from the 1950’s.
Full lineup of die grinders, bandfiles etc.
Metal bender for bending and curling.
Curling configuration.
Bending configuration.
AC/DC TIG welder with plasma cutting function.
Bench mounted belt sander.
Compressor, shopvac, angle grinders, straight grinders, horizontal bandsaw.
An old fly press
Very comfortable chair for the times when it’s needed.
Overall the workshop is well equipped with small but good quality tools.

 

3D Printing 

For 3D printing I’ve made an enclosure with automatic fire extinguisher. The printer is Prusa MK3s+ which I’m very happy about. It has served me reliably for many years already.

Nicely tucked away in my basement.

All the filament is router through the top cabinet’s floor to the printer.
