Outdoor bench with forged legs

This is a project which spans across 4 generations.

The frame was forged by my grandfather who was a blacksmith in the 1950s. It’s made out of spring steel and I’m planning to keep it exactly as it is as even the paint is original.

The boards are Siberian Larch which is naturally rot resistant.

My son wanted to help to sand the boards, so this is now officially a project which spans across 4 generations.

A good place to drink coffee while having a break from the workshop.
My little helper.
